Welcome

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Planning Committee, we are proud to welcome you to the 2007 AFP MA Chapter Conference of Philanthropy! As this year's Conference Chair, we invite you to join over 1,000 of your peers in attendance, taking advantage of high-quality educational programming and networking opportunities throughout the day.

Exchange. Inspire. Learn. Collaborate. 2007 represents the 24th year the AFP MA Chapter Conference on Philanthropy has been in existence. During that time, it has grown to become the largest fundraising conference in New England. The reason it has grown is because of the value attendees get from coming together to learn from our outstanding presenters as well as from each other. Many leave our conference at the end of the day feeling inspired and re-energized, armed with new information that will help them focus on delivering results based on quality, not quantity.

We are excited about our offerings at this year's conference. We will have a fantastic keynote speaker to open the day. Dave McGillivray, the Race Director for the Boston Marathon, has graciously agreed to serve in this role. Dave, in addition to being the race director, is an accomplished fundraiser in his own right. He has worked with numerous organizations to raise over $50 million for various causes. After the keynote presentation, there will more than 40 sessions and 20 workshops across ten different educational tracks that will be led by senior leaders in our field. At lunch, there will be roundtable discussions where there will be an opportunity to continue learning that began during the morning through an exchange of best practices. And, of course, there will be an exhibitor area where resource providers will be available to discuss with you products and services that play a key role in helping us be more efficient in our work.

Finally, we are able to provide quality programming and networking opportunities with the help of our generous sponsors. I would like to thank them for their commitment to this event:

We look forward to seeing you on November 27!

Sincerely,

Gregg Chambers
